THE COTE CHARITY
(Reg. Charity No 257237)

MISSION STATEMENT

Our goal is to provide good, affordable, accessible care and services for elderly people.

These services are provided in the Westbury-on-Trym area of Bristol.

Our vision of the future is to build on our current high standards of care maintaining a flexible, holistic and `care for life` programme and respecting the independent lifestyle of elderly people.

We will constantly strive to bring about change and continuous improvement by:

  • focussing on the affordability and value of services in order to support as many elderly people as possible, whilst ensuring accessibility.

  • measuring service performance and effectiveness with feedback to ensure a high quality of care using well trained committed staff

  • identifying and meeting the changing needs of elderly people through research and observation

  • encouraging independence, dignity and choice by involving residents, volunteers and staff in their self development

  • influencing decision and policy makers through education and advocacy, and supporting elderly people in the exercise of their rights

  • setting standards of social justice with a vigorous commitment to equal opportunity for all

  • sustaining the assets of the Charity to meet future needs

  • adopting policies which are friendly to the environment

We will seek to ensure a decent balance between standards and the available resources, with all our enterprises being self-supporting.

The charity sets a high value on its place in the community and us openly accountable to its stakeholders for its policies, its decisions and its performance.
